Bagh printing takes its colour from two sources only: alizarin for red and iron for black, both fixed by the mineral content of the Baghini river where the cloth is washed. The particular depth of a Bagh red cannot be reproduced away from that water.

Blocks are carved in teak and printed by hand, one impression at a time. A three-piece unstitched set with a printed dupatta.

Print registration checked across all three pieces. A small overlap where two block impressions meet on the bottom length is visible on close inspection and is inherent to hand printing.
